Crumpled Note

To Lord Svein Noryette,
There is growing concern over the conduct of one within our house. Rumors spread that some of our wealth is tied to the Independents... This is far too serious to ignore.

Think of it: the Noryette name, built over generations, stained by the mere suspicion of such ties. No member of this house can ignore such shame.

If false, I urge you to clear it at once and protect our honor. If true, then for the sake of the family, no one must be spared from blame.

We trust in your authority. But remember the old saying: the lord's seat exists for the house, and one who cannot uphold its name must be ready to yield it.
