Mistwind Plateau

A highland where mist sways like the wind, just as it has for ages.

Legends speak of a king who defied the gods only to be cursed as a monster for his greed.

He wept bitterly in his sorrow, his tears dissolving into the air as the mist that now cloaks the land.

As the ages passed, his resplendent kingdom crumbled into ruin, swallowed by the fog.

Many warriors ventured into the haze to hunt the monster once known as king, yet none survived.

In the end, two brothers finally struck it down, and statues were raised to honor their feat.

Yet even with the beast slain, the mist did not fade, yet thickened all the more.

Now, only broken ruins remain, shrouded in phantasmal whispers.

Feared by even the boldest of bold, Mistwind Plateau has become a forsaken land where the dead never find rest.
