To Tristan,

By the time you read this, I'm bound for hell. The past catches up with us all.

If that asshole is the one who does me in, so be it.

Before the Hand of Trust, I was no more than a worthless assassin. But you took me in.

I never cared for the co-chief...too idealistic. On the other hand, you were practical. You did what had to be done. I trusted that.

Now I'm not so sure.

Do you remember what you asked me over drinks?

"Do you believe in past lives? What if I told you I was once an almighty god?"

I thought it was just the drink talking. But I was wrong. Ever since you met that strange man, you've changed.

Stop using Zudaka's rituals. I know what they're doing to you now. Rancor doesn't make a man stronger... It hollows him out.

One last thing. I don't care whether you were ever a god, Tristan. I'd still follow you to the death.
