Stained Note

To the noble and nosy daughter of our governor-general,

I happened to pass by the aid station just now and saw you stirring a pot of soup, drenched in sweat. That simple outfit suits you much better than any extravagant dress in Delphinad. Ah, is this not proof of my impeccable taste?

But Eanna, you must know that my condition is far worse than that of any patient you tend, for my heart nigh stopped upon witnessing your gaze. If you seek to prevent my tragic death, please leave the aid shelter for the night and join me for a walk.

Do not make me envy those poor patients. The world may go on without you, but this genius playwright's head cannot produce a single line without your presence.

Ever awaiting not praise, but a tender kiss, Lucius
