The Twenty-Five Year War
Overview (A.E. 1761-1785)

The Twenty-Five Year War was a prolonged conflict fought on Auroria soil between A.E. 1761 and 1785. It stemmed from territorial disputes between the alliances of Haranya and Nuia. The war began in A.E. 1761, when an assassination at the First Auroria Conference led to its collapse. Soon after, the Crown Prince of Ezna declared war, launching full-scale hostilities.

Unlike earlier wars, this conflict was marked less by grand campaigns than by drawn-out regional clashes. In 1763, the Naval Battle of the Crownless Depths claimed the lives of many heirs of noble houses on both sides, leaving a deep symbolic scar. The struggle then settled into stalemate on both land and sea. However, in 1775, rumors of newly discovered Archeum veins reignited the war.

In later years, both Haranya and Nuia faltered under economic strain, declining public support, and the growing influence of companies, which made prolonging the conflict increasingly untenable. The Haji and Radim Incident in 1783 further stirred demands for peace. In 1785, the arrival of an anonymous letter, along with mediation by South Ishvara and the Second Auroria Conference, brought about an indefinite armistice.

Afterward, command headquarters were withdrawn, and the New Veora Ganax was erected as a monument to the war. Auroria entered a new era where companies rose to prominence and shaped its development.
