Mahudad, an archaeologist studying the remains beneath Gon's shrine, wishes to examine an offering stone hidden below. He asks you to retrieve it in his stead, citing an abundance of wraiths.

- Mahudad: Oh, a pioneer. Just the person I needed.
- Mahudad: Do you see the land stretching out below? The traces of Gon still linger there.
- Mahudad: It seems those who worshipped the God of Abundance once dwelled there.
- I see.
- Mahudad: Ah, you've returned. Ahem...it seems you've reconsidered. Will you help me after all?
- I'll help.
- Mahudad: Hmm... Not yet? I only hope the Offering Stone remains intact.
- Mahudad: Oh! Have you brought it?
- Yes, here it is.
- Echuk: Are you from headquarters, by any chance?... No, I see. Of course. It would have been rather quick for them to send someone already.
- What are you doing here?
- My apologies.
- Echuk: As you can see...I'm scouting the area. I'm afraid that's about all I can do at the moment.
- Echuk: I was asked to scout farther up, but those creatures are always blocking the way.
- Echuk: We have no idea what became of the archeologists who went on ahead.
- What do you mean by that?
- Echuk: They weren't here when we and the archeologists first arrived.
- Echuk: As soon as we spotted that enormous statue, some of the others went straight beyond the cliffs to investigate.
- Echuk: The rest of us stayed behind to build a camp with Yusenos, then those creatures appeared.
- Echuk: We've been stuck here ever since, and we've lost contact with the group that went ahead.
- Where did they go?
- Echuk: Towards the cliffs, so...if you head up from here and keep to the right, you should be following their route.
- Echuk: If you happen to be going that way, would you mind checking whether they're still there?
- Echuk: They're quite capable people, so I doubt they'd be easily attacked, but...I am a bit worried.
